And now we go backwards…..we'll tell you a little bit about our trip from Vermont to New York:
Since we sold our car, we had to rent a car to get down to New Jersey. I swear that I chose ‘STANDARD SUV’ on the rental form but somehow we got this monstrosity:

That can't possibly be a ‘standard’ SUV. Anyway, it fit all of our luggage plus extras to give to friends/family along the way.
After saying goodbye to my parents, sister, and nephew, we headed towards Massachusetts.

(that's the best you get with a super dirty windshield)
We said goodbye to all of our friends…..in 2 batches. Unfortunately we did not get a picture from our second get together at Pulse Cafe (with a different group of friends). An extra special thanks goes to our ex-neighbor, Kay, who let us crash at her place for the night.

(Yarde Tavern in South Hadley)

(Our last meal at Pulse…best food ever)
And then we were off to New Jersey (no jokes please).

We stayed a few nights at Scott's aunt and uncle's house before heading to the ship.

(The beautiful flowers in front of their house)
We made a quick trip to Pennsylvania to get Scott's instruments looked over by their maker, Hiroshi Iizuka, and had a nice lunch with anther old friend (sorry, no picture).

We had a nice evening with our friends Larry and Amie (Larry has been our studio engineer on all of our recordings…..and a brewer).

And Scott's uncle sent us off in style with a nice glass of Balvenie (and they most graciously drove us to Brooklyn the next day to catch our ‘boat’):

More to come…
