Tanya and Scott Go to the UK: Part 12 - QM2 Day 5

(we made it past the Titanic site….we are north of the Azores and south of Greenland,
more than halfway there)

Wow, I can't believe this crossing is almost over. Only one more full day after today!

Scott still isn't feeling great so I've been bringing him his morning oatmeal and tea from the buffet. And tonight is the Masquerade Ball evening so we won't be attending the formal dinner….we'll eat at the buffet.

I slept much better last night. I'm not sure why I slept miserably the 2 nights before that…perhaps it was the vibrations/rumbling from the ship? Or too much caffeinated tea in the late afternoon?

Tried the laundry rooms this morning. I got there at 6:30 but they didn't open until 7:30. Got there at 7:35 and they were completely full. Perhaps I'll try tomorrow morning at 7:15.

Breakfast is pretty good…oatmeal and coffee
(though I do have to go fetch soy milk from the ‘healthy corner’ each time):

(there's a nice fellow who has had the kitchen make vegan muffins
for me to pick up when I want. Today he said he'll have more options
for me tomorrow!)

This little guy (or girl) seems to have stowed away on the ship.
Maybe they are also moving to the UK?

Lunch at the buffet (no, those desserts are NOT vegan):

Afternoon tea goodies (only had 1 ½ cups of tea this time):

These two are the fanciest dressers on the ship!

Had a nice relaxing rest by the water, listening to music:

Pre-dinner drinks. Finally got my Hobgoblin at the Golden Lion:

Dinner at the Britannia:

(as you can see, nobody enjoyed the coffee creme brulee)

Special Toblerone from the Queen Mary 2!

We were going to learn to Foxtrot but Scott wasn't feeling great,
so we just watched (well, I did the steps at my seat):

Rushing water outside near the lower decks:

More tomorrow….
(If you couldn't tell, this is Tanya writing all the QM2 blog posts)
